Why are Semique products more expensive than than mass-produced bags?
Semique products are not mass-produced. Each piece is carefully handcrafted using premium materials such as full-grain leather and durable canvas.
We focus on quality and durability rather than large-scale production. This means every bag requires more time, attention, and craftsmanship.
Our goal is to create products that last for many years and age beautifully over time, rather than bags that need to be replaced after a short period.
What materials do you use?
We primarily use premium 16 oz. waxed canvas and full-grain leather. These materials are chosen for their durability, natural character, and ability to age beautifully over time.
What type of leather do you use?
We use high-quality full-grain leather, the most durable and natural part of the hide. It maintains its natural texture and develops a rich patina as it ages.
Will the leather change over time?
Yes. Full-grain leather naturally develops a patina with use, meaning your bag will gradually gain character and a deeper tone over time.
How durable are Semique bags?
Our bags are designed for everyday use and built to last. With proper care, high-quality canvas and full-grain leather products can last for many years.
Will my bag look exactly like the photos?
Because we use natural materials, each bag may have slightly different textures and markings. These natural variations are part of what makes every Semique piece unique.
Since every bag is also handcrafted, there may be small variations in measurements and details. These subtle differences reflect the handmade nature of each piece.
Care & Maintenance
How should I care for my Semique bag?
We recommend keeping your bag away from excessive moisture. Occasional leather conditioning will help maintain the leather’s natural beauty.
How do I clean my bag?
We do not recommend washing canvas bags in a washing machine or soaking them in water. For canvas areas, gently wipe with a slightly damp cloth.
For leather parts, use a quality leather conditioner occasionally to keep the leather healthy and protected.
What if my bag gets scratched?
Minor scratches are normal with natural leather and often become part of its character over time. In many cases, gently rubbing the area with your finger can help reduce their appearance.
Can leather or waxed canvas get wet?
Leather can tolerate small amounts of moisture, but it should not be soaked. If the leather gets wet, allow it to dry naturally at room temperature and avoid direct heat.
Waxed canvas, on the other hand, is naturally water-resistant. It performs very well in light rain and everyday outdoor use, helping protect your belongings from moisture. However, like most natural materials, prolonged exposure to heavy water should still be avoided for best longevity.

Where are Semique bags made?
All Semique bags are handcrafted in our workshop by our small team who focus on quality and detail rather than mass production.
How long does production take?
Since each bag is made by hand, production typically takes a few days before shipping. This allows us to carefully craft each piece.
Do you offer personalization?
Yes. Almost all Semique products can be personalized with initials or custom markings, making each piece more unique.
What is your return, refund, and cancellation policy?
Returns are accepted for unused items within our return window. Items must be returned in their original condition and packaging.
Once the returned item is received and inspected, the refund will be issued to the original payment method.
Orders can usually be cancelled or modified shortly after purchase. However, once production has started or the item has been prepared for shipment, we may not be able to accept cancellations.
